Home OTMA Call for Papers Review Criteria

Review Criteria

A submission that is under review for or has already been published in or accepted for publication in another journal or at another conference will not be accepted, unless it is significantly different.  Submissions of five pages or less (resp. more than five pages) will be reviewed as position (resp. technical) papers. Submissions exceeding ten pages will be rejected without any review process.

Your submission will be primarily judged on:

  • sharpness and thoroughness of problem analysis
  • originality or innovative character of the problem and approach,
  • significance to and potential impact on the domain,
  • soundness of the method and rigorousness of applying it (if relevant),
  • validity of the results (if relevant), and
  • knowledge of the related work.

In addition, your motivation and the degree to which you might benefit from the OTM Academy (see the “submission” section) can be taken into account to make a final selection amongst the accepted submissions. If you don’t commit to presenting at the conference your paper is automatically excluded from the proceedings.

Confidentiality of submissions is maintained during the review process. Rejected submissions will not be disclosed. Accepted submissions will remain confidential at least until the camera ready material is sent to the publisher (see the “important dates” section). Details concerning the title and author can become public earlier depending on the publicity strategy of the overall OTM conference organisation.
